WATCH: High Speed Crash Leaves Buick Upside Down in a San Angelo Ditch

SAN ANGELO – The driver of a maroon Buick four door sedan was hospitalized after a high speed crash on the Loop 306 access road at Green Valley dr. Monday morning.

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Welch, the Buick was in the left-hand land westbound on the access road when the driver crossed over in front of traffic attempting turn right.

Watch video from the crash scene below:

Officer Welch says it appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed ending up upside down in the concrete culvert at the intersection.

The driver was trapped for a short time and sustained unknown injuries.  He was transported to Shannon by ambulance.

Officer Welch said the driver will be cited for failure to control speed and other citations may be pending.  The Buick was the only vehicle involved in the crash.
