WATCH: Big Rig Crash Blocks Traffic in front of Goodyear Proving Grounds on US-277

 

SAN ANGELO – An 18-wheel truck carrying feed grain pellets overturned on US Hwy 277 near the Goodyear Proving Grounds north of San Angelo Monday morning blocking traffic on the busy roadway. 

Initial calls indicated the big rig had rolled over and the driver was trapped inside.  Reporters on the scene say an ambulance from Goodyear was the first on the scene and were able to free the driver.

Reporters on the scene say it appears the driver was not seriously injured.  First responders from the Texas Department of Public Safety, the Quail Valley Volunteer Fire Department and the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office worked the crash scene.

The tractor trailer was the only vehicle involved in the crash.   

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
