WATCH: Multiple Fire Departments Respond to Large Grassfire

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — Multiple fire departments, including the San Angelo Fire Department, responded to a large grass fire on Saturday afternoon. 

According to reporters on scene, on Feb. 19 at around 3 p.m., multiple units with the San Angelo Fire Department, Wall Volunteer Fire Department, and the Pecan Creek Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the 2700 block of Country Club Rd. for the report of a grass fire.

According to sources on the scene the grass fire stemmed from trash that caught fire on the property. The cause is still unknown. Within the hour the crews were able to get the fire under control before any major damage was caused. 

Currently Tom Green County is in a burn ban. This is a developing story.
