Biker Killed After Crashing Through Fence on Rural Highway

 

SNYDER, TX – A motorcycle crash killed a Snyder man just 9 miles outside of town.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Feb. 6 at around 5:50 p.m., troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the state highway 350, 9 miles south of Snyder, for the report of a major crash.

When the troopers arrived, they discovered a 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle that gone through a fence on the east side of the highway.

The driver Domingo Moncevais III, male, 50, of Snyder, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home in Snyder.

The investigation by troopers revealed that Moncevaid was traveling North on SH 350. As it traveled through a left curve in the roadway, it veered right and into the East side ditch.

The driver was thrown from the vehicle as it went through a fence and into a field.

The speed limit at this location is listed at 55 mph. At the time of the crash the weather was clear and the road condition was dry.
