WATCH: Crash just North of Grape Creek Injures Drivers

 

GRAPE CREEK – Two Pickups Crashed on US 87 N. north of Grape Creek just after 9:00 p.m. Sunday night that injured both drivers.

According to Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department PIO, Jose Rivera, at approximately 9:05 p.m. Sunday night, Grape Creek Volunteer Fire Department and San Angelo EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Glass Road and US 87 North for a reported major motor vehicle accident.

The arriving units found two pickup trucks, one red in color and the other white, had crashed with each other. The red pickup was facing southbound in the left-hand lane of northbound traffic The white truck was in the southbound lanes facing south.

Both vehicles were disabled and both driver’s sustained minor injuries.

Two lanes of US 87 were open and both left lanes were blocked off. Motorists were asked to slow down when passing the scene of the crash.

Rivera said, “We are urging drivers to slow down until we get this truck out of the way.”

The weather was clear, and ice or rain were not a factor in the crash.
