San Angelo Police Department: PLEASE Don't Drive Today!

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Police officers have been inundated with calls about vehicle crashes across the city.  There have been crashes on the Houston-Harte Expressway, on Bryant Blvd. and on several major streets.

The roadways are slick because of snow and ice and temperatures will remain below freezing until at least Saturday afternoon.

The SAPD is urging everyone to stay at home and not drive at all:

"Please don’t drive if you don’t have to. We have received multiple calls to assist motorists and accidents this morning. As the day continues, the road conditions will continue to deteriorate so please only drive unless you absolutely have to."

This is a very serious and dangerous situation.
