SAN ANGELO – San Angelo Fire Department personnel are investigating a fire on 17th St. Thursday morning that may have been started by a space heater on a cold winter morning.
According to initial reports, smoke and flames were visible from the home 700 block of 17th St. when firefighters arrived around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Reporters on the scene say it appears no one was injured in the blaze. There were some dogs running around the structure but it is unclear if they lived there or at a nearby home.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
