Jack Knifed 18-Wheeler Shuts Down US 87

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A jack knifed tanker truck caused a traffic delay on Saturday morning in Concho County.

According to the Concho County Sheriff’s Office, on Dec. 18 at around 11 a.m., deputies with the CCSO were dispatched to U.S. Highway 87 for the report of a jack knifed 18-wheeler. 

“We are working an accident with a jack knifed tanker truck at this time.  It is on 87w past the rest area and the entire westbound lanes are blocked.  No ETA on when it will be cleared.  Take an alternate route if travel is required,” stated the CCSO in a Facebook post.

Two hours after the crews were called in the crash was cleaned up.

It was not specified how the truck crashed. 

No injuries were reported.
