Unsafe Left Turn Injures One on Knickerbocker Rd.

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A driver was sent to the hospital on Thursday afternoon after another driver failed to safely make a left hand turn on Knickerbocker rd.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, on Dec. 9, officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of University and Knickerbocker for the report of a major crash.

When the officer arrived, he spotted a white Honda Accord and a black Kia Rio that had crashed in the middle of the intersection. Check out a video of the scene here: 

The motor unit officer working the crash confirmed that the Black Kia Rio was traveling northeast on Knickerbocker and attempted to make a left turn onto University.

According to the officer on scene the driver then failed to yield the right-of-way and crashed into the white Honda. The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Kia was cited for causing the crash.
