WATCH: Thanksgiving Day Crash Sends 1 to Hospital During Cowboy Game

 

SAN ANGELO – A two vehicle crash on Sherwood Way at Oxford on Thanksgiving afternoon sent one person to the hospital and the cause of the crash is still under investigation.  The initial call was for a major crash with people trapped in a vehicle.  

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Welch, a dark blue Mercedes Benz SUV was westbound on Sherwood Way approaching the intersection while a white Dodge Ram pickup was northbound on Oxford.

Officer Welch says both drivers claimed they had green lights so the investigation into the cause is ongoing.  

One person in the Mercedes was transported by ambulance to the hospital with unknown injuries.  

No citations were issued at the scene. 

The crash occurred during the Dallas Cowboys traditional Thanksgiving Day game causing reporters and first responders to miss part of the game.
