WATCH: 3/4 Ton Pickup Mangles SUV in Monday Morning Crash

 

SAN ANGELO – One person was taken to the hospital after a crash on S. Bryant Ave. and Ave. N Monday morning.  

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Welch, a red Chevrolet C2500 pickup was southbound on S. Bryant approaching the intersection.  A blue Buick Encore was westbound on Ave. N and entered the intersection with a green light and the right-of-way. 

The driver of the pickup had a red light and failed to yield the right-of-way.  The pickup crashed into the side of the Buick. 

The driver of the Buick was transported to the hospital by ambulance with undisclosed injuries.  Both individuals in the pickup said they were uninjured.  

Officer Welch says the driver of the pickup was issued a citation for disregarding the red light.
