Pedestrian Killed When He Intentionally Walked Head-on into a Moving Train

 

ABILENE, TX – An Abilene man was killed on Thursday after being struck by a train.

According to the Abilene Police Department, on Oct. 14 at around 1 p.m., officers with the APD were dispatched to the 3100 block of N. 1st St. for the report of a crash involving a train and a pedestrian.

Police say they were told by witnesses on scene that a pedestrian was walking eastbound on the tracks towards the oncoming train. They claimed that the man made no effort to move out of the path of the train.

Police have not identified the man as of now but have confirmed he is a 44-year-old white male. The name will be released once the next of kin is notified.
