Pedestrian Struck & Killed by Train in the Permian Basin

 

ODESSA, TX – A man in his 60s was killed on Tuesday night after he was struck by a train at a rail road crossing in Odessa.

According to the Odessa Police Department, On Sep. 21, 2021 at about 6:35 p.m., Odessa Police and Odessa Fire Rescue were dispatched to a deadly incident involving a pedestrian and train.

The investigation revealed that 63-year-old Ruben Munoz Jr. of Odessa was struck and killed at a railroad crossing.

It happened in the 100 block of N. Muskingum by a Union Pacific train headed westbound.
