WATCH: SUV Turning Left Causes Crash at Dangerous San Angelo Intersection

 

SAN ANGELO – One driver was sent to the hospital after a crash at the intersection of S. Bryant Blvd. and Knickerbocker Rd. Thursday afternoon. 

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Long, a silver Honda CRV was northbound on Bryant attempting to turn left while a blue Nissan pickup was southbound on Bryant.

The driver of the Honda turned left into the path of the Nissan causing the crash in the intersection. 

The driver of the Nissan was transported to the hospital with minor injuries according to Long. 

The driver of the Honda was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.

This intersection is not dangerous.  What IS dangerous is the poor driving exhibited by drivers in San Angelo.  Factoring in population density,  I consider driving in San Angelo more hazardous than driving in the Metroplex or Austin, and I don't consider either of those places all that safe.

When I drive in San Angelo I continuously swivel my head looking for stupidity.
