MIDLAND, TX – One person was killed Sunday morning in Midland after a Ford Mustang was cut in half by a light pole.
According to the investigation, a 2017 Ford Mustang was speeding on Andrews Highway going southbound. It passed through the intersection of South Garfield Street and West Wall Street and struck a traffic pole.
The force of the crash sliced the Mustang in half and killed the 29-year-old passenger. The 31-year-old driver of the Mustang fled the scene but was taken into custody later.
The names of those involved have not been released and charges are pending against the driver.
