Louisiana Trucker High on Meth Arrested for Fatal Crash

 

ODESSA, TX – A Louisiana truck driver was arrested Tuesday after police say he was high on meth when he crashed into and killed an Odessa man.

According to the Odessa Police Department, on Aug. 23, officers with the OPD were dispatched to the Hwy 385 and Mercer for the report of a three vehicle crash.

When they arrived, the officers discovered a Chevrolet, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and an 18-wheeler. The driver of the Chevy was pronounced dead on scene. 

Law enforcement have identified the deceased as James Everett of Odessa. The driver of the Jeep refused medical treatment.

The driver of the 18-wheeler has been identified as Anthony Gallow of New Orleans. He was arrested for Criminally Negligent Homicide, Possession of Meth, and Falsification of Drug Test results.
