Child Safe After Scary Rollover Crash Near Lake View High School

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A rollover crash near Lake View High School caused a scare for three people including a nine-year-old child Tuesday afternoon.

According to officers with the San Angelo Police Department, on Aug. 24 at around 3:45 p.m., they were dispatched to the 200 block of E 42nd St. for the report of a major crash. 

When the officers arrived they discovered a brown Nissan Armada and a black Nissan that had crashed in the intersection. The Armada was on its side. 

Police confirmed with reporters on scene that the Armada was going east on 42nd and was struck by the Nissan that failed to yield the right of way at the stop sign on Travis St. 

Because of the crash the Armada lost control and rolled over on its side.

No injuries were reported in the crash. The driver of the Nissan was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way. 

SAPD confirmed that a nine-year-old was in the Nissan but was not injured due to being properly restrained.
