Watch: Speeding Driver Crashes Into Telephone Pole

SAN ANGELO, TX -- A single-vehicle crash closed down a portion of 19th Street late Friday night.

According to radio traffic, officers were dispatched to the area near Lillie St and 18th Street for a crash that resulted in multiple passengers being injured.

According to Sgt. Kelly Lajoie, the car crashed into a telephone pole, causing significant damage to the vehicle. Lajoie described the scene as "hectic."

While the exact cause of the crash has not been released at this time, authorities believe speed and possibly alcohol may have been contributing factors.

The vehicle was carrying four passengers -- two sustained non-life-threatening injuries and two refused treatment.

Police are still investigating and no arrests were made yet.
