SAN ANGELO, TX -- Shortly after 3:00 p.m. first responders were dispatched to the 9200 block of US Hwy 87 S for reports of a roll-over crash.
Initial scanner reports indicated the vehicle had rolled into an empty field near the intersection of Hawk Ave and Hwy 87.
According to witnesses at the scene, the driver of a white SUV was driving erratically down the highway and passing vehicles using the right lane.
Witnesses observed the SUV roll four times before landing in the field. They described the driver as having significant injuries, but no official confirmation has been released.
The driver was transported to a local hospital and no other vehicles were damaged as a result of the crash.
