ODESSA, TX – A 32-year-old man is behind bars after police say he caused a crash that left two people injured.
According to the Odessa Police Department, Charales Clinton Hawn was driving a Dodge Ram 1500 down North Faudree when he attempted to turn onto P-Bar Ranch.
When Hawn turned onto oncoming traffic he turned into a Toyota RAV4. The driver and the passenger of the RAV were seriously injured and transported to a local hospital. The passenger, a 14-year-old patient, had to later be airlifted to Lubbock.
During the subsequent investigation, officers found Hawn was intoxicated and in possession of a firearm.
Hawn has now been charged with two counts of Intoxication Assault, a third-degree felony, and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon, a Class A misdemeanor.
