WATCH: Young Boy with No Seatbelt Bloodied in Crash – Driver Cited

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – An eight-year-old San Angelo boy was bloodied and hospitalized with unknown injuries after a scary crash Monday afternoon at the intersection of College Hills Blvd. and Sunset Blvd.  

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Long, the boy was a passenger in a blue Ford Mustang headed north on College Hills Blvd.  A dark blue Dodge Dakota was attempting to turn left, or south onto College Hills from the Market St. parking lot.

According to police the driver of the Dakota pulled out onto College Hills into the path of the Mustang causing the scary crash.  

The eight-year-old boy wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was injured in the crash.  He was transported by private vehicle to the hospital after being treated at the scene by medics.  

The driver of the Dakota was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way causing the crash. 

The driver of the Mustang was issued a citation for a seatbelt violation for not having a child younger than eight secured by a seatbelt.  

Medics were seen tending to the boy's injuries at the scene.
