WATCH: Fire Destroys Single Wide Trailer in Grape Creek

 

GRAPE CREEK, TX – Tom Green County Volunteer Firefighters are battling a major structure fire on Raccoon Rd. in Grape Creek Thursday afternoon. 

Firefighters were dispatched to the 100 block of Raccoon Rd. just after 3 p.m.

Communications reports indicate two structures were on fire.  Photos show a single wide trailer and a shed on fire. 

Grape Creek VFD Assistant Chief Jose Rivera says the blaze completely destroyed one trailer and damaged a neighboring single wide mobile home as well.  

Rivera says no one was injured in the fire but one small dog died in the blaze.

Volunteers from Grape Creek, Quail Valley, East Concho, and Carlsbad were dispatched to the scene.  

The cause of the blaze is under investigation at this time.  

There are no reports of injuries.  

The Red Cross was on hand to provide assistance to the families in both mobile homes.
