SAN ANGELO, TX – Several cows escaped death Wednesday after they were involved in a crash in North San Angelo.
According to an officer with the San Angelo Police Department, on Mar. 31, he was dispatched to the intersection of N. Bryant Blvd. and 19th St. for the report of a major motor vehicle crash.
When he arrived he found a maroon GMC Sierra pulling a livestock trailer filled with cows parked along N. Bryant Blvd. and a blue Ford F-150 that was parked in the Stripes parking lot on the corner of 19th St.

San Angelo EMS was called in and the driver of the F-150 was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The officer determined during his initial investigation that the Sierra was southbound on N. Bryant Blvd. and disregarded the stop light located on 19th St. The F-150 was heading east on 19th and struck the truck and the trailer as they were going through the intersection.
The driver of the Sierra was issued a citation for running the red light. The officer ensured reporters on scene that no cows were hurt during the crash.
