Police Solve 13-Year-Old Fatal Hit-and-Run

 

MIDLAND, TX -- Thirteen years after a fatal hit-and-run claimed the life of 27-year-old  Loren Dustin Davidson police have finally solved the case.

According to the Midland Police Department, on September 15, 2007 officers were dispatched to a major motorcycle accident on Whitmire Blvd.

Upon arriving at the scene, offices located Davidson who succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed a Cherovelt pickup with two men had hit the motorcycle and fled the scene.

The case remained unsolved until last month when MPD Hit and Run Detective Haveman reviewed the case.

After the Crime Stoppers Department received a tip that a possible suspect was located at the Texas Department of Justice Middleton Unit outside of Abilene.

Detective Haveman interviewed the suspect, 41-year-old  Raymond Dale Click, and he confessed he was the driver in the crash.

The case will be forwarded to the Midland County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
