Two Vehicle Crash Sends Three to the Hospital

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Three people were hospitalized following a two vehicle crash Monday afternoon on US 277 south at Grand Canal Rd. 

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Welch, a silver Chevrolet Equinox was northbound on US-277. 

A white Toyota Yaris was headed east on Grand Canal. According to witnesses, the Yaris stopped at first then pulled out into the intersection and for some reason stopped in the roadway in the path of the Equinox.

The Equinox crashed into the Yaris sending both vehicles into the barrow ditch.  

The driver of the Yaris sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital.  

According to officer Welch, two people in the Equinox were also transported to the hospital by ambulance. 

The driver of the Yaris was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
