Driver Killed After Being Ejected From Suburban

 

MIDLAND, TX – The Midland Police Department has confirmed the death of a 42-year-old man involved in a Monday morning crash.

According to MPD, officers responded to the 2800 block of  West I-20 at 2 a.m.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a Chevrolet Suburban had been involved in a single-vehicle crash.

The preliminary investigation revealed the driver, Juan Martin Antonio Cortez, was driving east on the south service road of I-20 when he attempted to turn onto the ramp.

Cortez then lost control of the vehicle and rolled several times after his car left the roadway.

Cortez was ejected from the Suburban and died at the scene.
