SAPD: Officers Locate Missing Elderly Man, Employee, and KIA Sedona

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Police Department has provided new details on the vehicle pursuit involving a group home caregiver and an Alzheimer’s patient.

According to law enforcement 74-year-old, Jimmy Bradford was reported missing from the Daybreak group home around 4:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve. Bradford has Alzheimer's Disease and is non-verbal.

In response, SAPD issued Nixle Alert around 12:00 a.m. for Bradford. Authorities also disclosed that an employee from the group home was also missing, he was identified as 37-year-old Terrance Harris. At that time authorities also noted Daybreak was missing a 2018 Kia Sedona.

Hours after the Nixle Alert was issued SAPD officers located the Kia Sedona on Arden Road. When the officers attempted to begin a traffic stop the driver refused to stop and a slow-speed pursuit began.

The driver was identified as Harris and he eventually crashed into several private fences and nearly ran over two patrol officers before eventually crashing out near the intersection of 19th and Magdalen.

Harris was arrested without incident and officers located Bradford inside the Sedona uninjured.

Harris was arrested for Evading Arrest Detention with Vehicle and Criminal Mischief, but additional charges may be pending as the investigation continued.
