Man Arrested After Crashing Into Patrol Car Early Christmas Day

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- An intoxicated driver had a rocky start to Christmas Day after crashing into a police car.

According to SAPD, 42-year-old Rogelio Gaspar was traveling near the intersection of 19th Street and Magdalen early Friday morning.

Gaspar collided with a marked police vehicle that was parked and occupied by a patrolman. Officers were at the scene investigating an unrelated incident at the time.

The patrol vehicle sustained minor damage and the officer was not injured.

Gaspar was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Other charges may be pending. Gaspar was released after posting bail this afternoon.
