San Angelo Man Killed When Pickup Crashes into Farm Equipment

 

MILES, TX – The Department of Public Safety has confirmed a 37-year-old San Angelo man was killed in a crash Monday afternoon when a pickup crashed into farm equipment near Miles.

According to DPS. Joshua Joseph Corfield, 38, and the victim, Brett Mohler, were traveling south on Hwy 67 in the outside lane in a 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup.

In front of them, Gregory Irvin Hohensee, 56, was driving a John Deer 4560 Implement of Husbandry Towed – Solid Stand Folding Drill.

The crash occurred when Corfield failed to control his speed and stuck the farming equipment in front of them.

Corfield was transported to  Shannon Medical Center with incapacitating injuries. Mohler was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Fred Buck. The investigation revealed neither passenger nor driver was wearing a seatbelt.

Hohensee was also transported to Shannon Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
