WATCH: Driver Injured in Another Serious Crash on Sherwood Way

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – A careless driver ran the red light on Sherwood Way at Garfield St. Monday evening crashing into a Chevy S10 pickup sending the unsuspecting driver to the hospital. 

According to San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer McAndrews at the scene, a red Chevy S10 was attempting a left turn from Garfield St. onto Sherwood Way when a westbound van on Sherwood Way ran a red light and crashed into the Chevy.

The original call on police communications indicated one person was trapped inside a crashed vehicle.  

The SAPD issued this Nixle alert about the crash: "Avoid the area of Sherwood Way and Garfield due to motor vehicle accident.  West bound lanes are closed and east bound is down to one lane."

The driver of the van was transported by ambulance to the hospital with non-incapacitating injures.  The van driver will be cited for running the red light.
