Two Children Dead, Four Injured in Horrific Go-Cart Crash

 

COLLEGE MOUND, TX – Two children were killed and four were rushed to the hospital after a go-cart crashed into an SUV. 

According to the College Mound FD, on Nov. 22, troopers with the Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the intersection of FM 2727 and County Road 167 for the report of a mass casualty incident involving a number of children.

Emergency helicopters as well as a number of emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene. When they arrived they found five children between the ages of 7-12 who were seriously injured. Another child was found on scene deceased. 

Three of the injured children were airlifted to a hospital were one died. The other two children were taken to the hospital by ambulance. 

Troopers believe that the six children were riding in the two seater go cart going west on CR-167. A sliver Chevy Equinox was southbound on FM 2727 and struck the go-cart in the intersection.
