EDEN, TX -- Late Sunday morning Eden CISD confirmed the tragic passing of 19-year-old Daniela Dovalina. Mexican news sources have confirmed Daniela was killed in a horrific vehicle crash in Zaragoza.
"It's with a heavy heart that we share the following news. One of our seniors, Daniela Dovalina, was tragically killed in a car accident last night." said in a Facebook post. "Daniela had been one of our students since 2014. You probably saw her working at Lowes Grocery Store the past few years while she was in high school, always ready with a smile. She had a sweet and kind disposition. She will be dearly missed."
According to InfoNorte Coahuila the accident occured late Saturday night. Police reports indicate Daniela was driving when she struck the median. Her vehicle ended up on the side of the road.
Daniela was pronounced dead at the scene while her passengers, 23-year-old Juan Antonio Nevarez Galvan and 23-year-old Miroslava Vanenzuela Aldape were injured in the crash and transported to a local hospital.
