De Coty Coffee Company Evacuated During Fire

 

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Shortly before lunchtime the San Angelo Fire Department was dispatched to De Coty Coffee Company for reports of a fire.

Initial dispatch reports stated the bean roaster was on fire. No flames were visible but a large amount of smoke covered the area. Firefighters entered the structure to assess the situation.

Reporters at the scene confirmed no one appeared to be treated by EMS, but all employees were evacuated to the south side of the building.

According to reporters at the scene, the smell of burnt coffee was strong in the area.

Austin St between Ave N and Knickerbocker Rd are closed off to traffic.
