One Hospitalized in 3-Car Crash During Saturday Lunch Rush

 

SAN ANGELO, TX — A three-vehicle crash caused a traffic jam during Saturday's lunch rush on Knickerbocker Rd. 

According to San Angelo Police Officers on the scene, on Oct. 24 Officers with the San Angelo Police Department were dispatched to the 3300 block of Knickerbocker Rd. for the report of a major crash. 

When they arrived they discovered three cars that were involved in the crash. A red GMC Yukon and a Black Jeep Compass were still in the roadway while the third had pulled into a parking lot. 

Reporters on scene claim that one person was transported to the hospital but it is unknown at this time which driver.

Officers on scene claim that the Black Vehicle was traveling west on Knickerbocker and collided with the GMC. The GMC was pulling out of the Zips car wash and failed to yield the right-of-way.

Police did not specify which car hit the third vehicle.

San Angelo Firefighters, San Angelo Police Officers, and Home Motors towing cleared the scene at around 2:45 p.m. 

Traffic was slowed down to one lane but is now fully open.
