What an inane statement. The cause was speeding and losing control of the vehicle. Seems to me that speeding and crashing is what San Angelo is all about, except for the pedophilia of course, oh and the sex trafficking. This town is mired in the muck of criminality and most people walk around with an arrogant attitude about how great things are. Things are not great here; people don't obey the law at any level; people don't care about their neighbors; people don't respect the environment; and people don't respect a deadly virus that is killing millions around the world.

100% with your statement, the statement itself makes me feel as if you don't know that's how it is everywhere now. While I don't see it as acceptable in any fashion, the world is no longer a safe place. Nor will it be again.

Everyone sees it. You'd think the same people that run Hollywood run this place, or that the area had been colonized by a foreign power. Very true.

The place has had its ups and downs, though.

We've got a burgeoning mini-Portland beneath the overpass. It began with a few drunken/drugged out bums occasionally loitering and sleeping there, to a full blown Liberal haven, complete with makeshift shelters and furniture made of garbage.

Directly across, on the side of the turnaround, are piles of garbage and discarded clothing, which is now spilling onto the street.

The area of Habitat For Humanity's loading dock is where the designated restroom facilities are located, and if you want to pass out or just scream at people in traffic, well, you may do so, all courtesy of the City Of San Angelo, who find nothing wrong with threatening to fine people for temporarily placed piles of tree trimmings on THEIR property, yet will allow numerous thriving rat's nests to pepper the area, just blocks from where you send your children to school.

No, things are not great here, and will get Progressively worse (pun intended), if our city officials allow it to.

It's a proven fact, that every infamous, high-crime area in the country began as merely neglected segments of their respective cities.
