Man Killed After Being Partially Ejected in Rollover Crash

ABILENE, TX – Visitors at the Comfort Inn Suites were woken up Thursday night after a major crash happened right in front of the hotel.

According to KTXS, on August 27, officers with the Abilene Police Department were dispatched to the  S. Danville and Buffalo Gap Road in front of the Comfort Inn Suites for the report of a major crash where one driver rolled over.

When officers arrived they found a 90s model pickup that had rolled over in the ditch. The driver of the vehicle was partially ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other vehicle was no where to be found.

Officers believe the driver failed to "negotiate the on-ramp" onto Winters Fwy which caused the cash.

The identity of the driver is unknown at this time but APD have revealed he is 45-years-old.
