Drunk Drivers Injured In Fiery Crash

EARLY, TX — A driver traveling nearly 100mph was ejected after he crashed into a brick “Early” sign late Tuesday night.

According to KTXS, the driver was identified as 37-year-old Juan Antonio Subias-Rodriguez. He was believed to be under the influence of alcohol and was clocked driving 97 mph near the 200 block of Garmon Drive.

Before officers could catch up to the driver, Subias-Rodriguez failed to “negotiate the curve in front of the Early ISD primary campus.”

Subias-Rodriguez went through a grassy area and hit a large decorative rock and brick sign.

As the vehicle began to roll Subias-Rodriguez was ejected. The vehicle then hit the Sanderson Trailer building on campus and caught on fire.

Subias-Rodriguez, of Wimauma, Florida, was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth to be treated for his injuries. His condition has been listed stable.

The incident is being investigated as a DWI crash.
