WATCH: Dog Jumps Out of Second Story Window to Survive Large Apartment Fire

 

ABILENE, TX – A dog survived a large apartment fire Tuesday after jumping out of a second story window. 

According to KTXS, on May 12, firefighters with the Abilene Fire Department were dispatched to the Wind Chase Village Apartments for the report of a fire. 

As officers arrived they found multiple apartments that were engulfed in flames. Out of a second story window they could see a large dog. 

 

No one was injured in the fire and the dog was ok. Five people were displaced due to the fire.

Firefighters determined a woman was cooking french fries in a first floor apartment when the grease caught on fire.
