Infant Killed In Fatal Crash on Mother's Day

 

COLEMAN, TX – A two-month-old baby was tragically killed in a rollover crash on Mother’s Day.

According to KTXS, on Sunday officers with the Coleman Police Department were dispatched to a fatal crash at the intersection of N. Colorado Street and the U.S. 84 bypass.

The crash involved a 2004 gray Jeep Liberty traveling eastbound towing a small utility trailer failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign. The Jeep had three passengers; 33-year-old Jeremy Ray Lizenbee, 21-year-old Kendra Robinson, and the two-month-old baby.

A 2017 Ford F-150 was traveling south on the U.S. 84 bypass when it collided with the Jeep, causing it to roll over into a barrow ditch. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Lizenbee and Robinson were transported by ambulance to the Coleman County Medical Center and later airlifted to Hendrick Medical Center. Their condition is unknown. The baby was pronounced dead at Coleman County Medical Center.

According to police, both Lizenbee and Robinson were not wearing seatbelts and the baby was not secured in a child seat.

The crash remains under investigation.
