From Luke 23:34: "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do."
Christ might just as well have been speaking of the mind-numb nebbishes that continue to support the self-pitying narcissistic Petulant Child In Chief currently stinking up the Oval Office with his mental effluvia.

Permalink"But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell."
Yes, yes, Expat. You've really got the high ground here. You yourself could never be or do or represent the things you accuse others of.
Also... I wonder how the people who have experienced this fire are doing?

PermalinkFirefighters extinguish house fire and save dogs. What am I missing here?
Perhaps you two should exchange numbers and continue your little tete-a tete via text message.

PermalinkHave you ever noted how Trump speaks of those people who don't buy into his crap? He has also said he has never seen the need to ask for forgiveness for any of his misdeeds.
He will see Hell a long time before I do, and he deserves it far more.

PermalinkHave you noticed how his opposition speaks of him and his supporters? We all only have 4 cheeks to turn, Expat. Regarding his afterlife, I can only infer from the qualifiers used in your last sentence that you've spoken to Jehovah personally and that he has given you some kind of confirmation about this that he has withheld from his many devotees who also support the President.
Or perhaps you're taking the cue of some leader who proclaims this, but I'm not aware of any organization in the Christian faith that has ever claimed to be perfectly right about something and never had to alter or reverse their position later on. If I'm not mistaken, one organization with a long history of political involvement and intrigues, which I will not name, accidentally picked the wrong pope recently. Somehow. Perhaps they had bad reception. I'm not privy to how their line of communication is established, so I don't know.
Anyway, that isn't so much my concern or my business. Gonna go watch Godfather III now.

PermalinkI chat with God every day. Admittedly it is a one-way conversation, but it centers on my giving thanks for the grace He has granted me and my asking forgiveness for my uh-ohs.
Be safe.
By the way, Godfather III is a waste. You're better off rewatching I and II.
