Driver Airlifted After Horrific Crash with 18-Wheeler on US 87

 

BRADY, TX – One driver was airlifted to an Austin hospital Monday morning after crashing into a semi-truck on US 87 south of Brady. 

According to the Brady Fire/EMS, on April 27, crews were dispatched to U.S. highway 87 just south of Brady for the report of a crash between a tractor-trailer and a BMW. 

Officials say that one driver was taken by helicopter to an Austin hospital and the other driver was taken to the hospital in Brady. 

The crash happened at around 5:45 a.m. and crews had the highway closed past 8:00 a.m.

The Brady Standard-Herald has reported that the man in the BMW allegedly hit a deer which caused him to then crash into the Semi. Here is a video of the scene from the Brady Standard-Herald:
