SAN ANGELO, TX -- Shortly after 5:00 p.m., officers with the San Angelo Police Department responded to an accident in the parking lot of Chili's next to Sunset Mall.
According to Officer Younts, a white vehicle was traveling in the parking lot when it struck a pole. The impact caused the airbags to deploy and medics were called to the scene.

No major injuries were reported, but the front passenger was transported to Shannon Medical Center to be checked out. The passenger is pregnant and would be evaluated by hospital staff.
It is unknown at this time what the car was doing in the parking lot and Officer Younts did not indicate if any citations would be issued to the driver.
