21-Year-Old Dead After Roll Over Crash

CLYDE, TX – A 21-year-old woman was killed Saturday morning after a single vehicle rollover crash.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Mar. 7 at around 2:18 a.m., troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were dispatched to State Highway 36 just 12 miles south of Clyde for the report of a rollover crash.

When the troopers arrived they found a 2004 Jeep Liberty that was rolled over in the middle of a pasture. The driver of the vehicle, Madison Rachelle Michalak, 21, of Orlando, Fl, was found dead at the scene. Troopers say she was wearing her seat belt.

Further investigation revealed that the Liberty was heading east on SH 36 when the driver veered off of the roadway near CR 2226 into the North barrow ditch.  The driver then over corrected and traveled across the roadway and into the South barrow ditch.  The Liberty then crashed into a fence, trees, and rolled over in a pasture.

The weather was slightly cloudy and the road conditions were dry.
