DPS: Crash Near Cross Plains was Fatal

 

CROSS PLAINS, TX — The Texas DPS confirmed this morning that one person died in a single-vehicle crash on TX-206, the highway that runs between Coleman and Cisco and I-20, Friday night.

DPS stated a single vehicle was driven by Cross Plains resident Johnny Chance Connelly, 39, who died of injuries in the crash. His passenger Gage Thomas Connelly, 19, was rushed to Hendrick Medical Center with critical injuries.

The approximate location of the crash:

The crash happened in Brown County near the Callahan County line, DPS said. That places the location of the crash about five miles southwest of Cross Plains. The 9-1-1 call was received at 7:47 p.m. Friday night, Feb. 28.
