WATCH: Chain Reaction Crash Leaves 1 injured and 4 Cars Mangled at Busy San Angelo Intersection

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – One person was injured in a four vehicle, chain reaction crash at a busy Sherwood Way intersection Friday afternoon around 5 p.m.

San Angelo Police Department Traffic Division investigating officer Welch said at the scene that a blue four door sedan was eastbound on Sherwood Way near the intersection of Oxford and failed to control her speed.  The female driver slammed into the back of a red Chevy Impala, which then crashed into the back of a Ford Fusion, which was pushed into the back of Honda CRV stopped at the light at the intersection.

The chain reaction crash resulted in only one injury.  Officer Welch says one person in the Honda CRV was transported to Shannon Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.  

The driver of the Marquis who caused the crash was issued a citation for failure to control speed.
