Woman Killed in Fatal Crash With San Angelo Couple Near Ballinger

BALLINGER, TX – One woman is dead after a fatal crash near Ballinger off US-83 on Monday afternoon.

According to KTXS, a San Angelo couple traveling in a 2017 Nissan Armada struck a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban after the driver of the Armada veered into the southbound lane.

The driver of the Suburban was identified as Susan Marie Rodriguez, 60, of Lytle, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The couple was identified as Brandon Wayne Clifton, 36, and Kelly Morgan Clifton, 35 of San Angelo. They were both transported to Shannon Medical Center to be treated for injuries. Brandon Clifton was transported to the hospital with a serious incapacitating injury and Kelly Clifton was stable but had incapacitating injuries, according to the report.

According to a statement released by the Department of Public Safety,  all three individuals were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.  

The crash is currently under investigation.
