MIDLAND, TX – Four people from Tom Green County were injured Thursday afternoon following a fatal crash involving a large pickup and a 18-wheeler.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, on January 16, Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety were dispatched to the intersection of FM 1379 and County Road 160 for a major motor vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler.

When they arrived, the troopers found an 18-wheeler and a Dodge Ram 2500 towing a trailer that had crashed in the roadway.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, Joseph A Davis, 55, of Cutler Bay Florida, was pronounced dead on the scene.

The passengers of the Ram were taken to Midland Memorial hospital where they were treated for their injuries. Two of the passengers were then airlifted to Lubbock.
