Driver Ejected in Crash at Dangerous Rural Intersection

SAN ANGELO, TX – One driver was ejected and the other hospitalized in a two vehicle crash near a dangerous rural intersection Friday.

On January 3, troopers with Texas Department of Public Safety and deputies with the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a major motor vehicle accident near the intersection of FM 2105 and SH 208.

When they arrived they found a silver GMC pickup with a trailer and a GMC Yukon that had crashed in the middle of the roadway. Here is a video of the scene:

Eyewitnesses on scene claim that both vehicles were traveling southbound toward San Angelo. The driver of the pickup allegedly attempted a U-turn in the middle of the intersection and the Yukon crashed into the truck.

The driver of the pickup was ejected out of the back window but was treated on scene for minor injuries.

The driver of the Yukon was taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently investigating the crash.
