32-Year-Old Killed in Head-On Collision

NOVICE, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the man who was killed in a head on collision Saturday in Coleman County.

According to the Texas DPS, on December 28, Troopers were dispatched to US Highway 84, just five miles east of Novice for a major motor vehicle accident. DPS records state that the crash occurred at 9:36 a.m. and that the road conditions were rain with standing water.

When the Troopers arrived, they discovered a 2017 Nissan Altima that had crashed into a 2012 Ford Fusion. Inside the Altima was 22-year-old Hannah McKendrick, 22, of Boerne. She was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. At the time of the crash, McKendrick was stable with incapacitating injuries.

The driver of the Fusion was 32-year-old Guy McMillan of Austin. McMillan was pronounced dead on the scene.

After further investigation the Troopers have determined that the Altima was traveling North on US 84. The Fusion was headed south bound. The two vehicles crashed when the Altima lost traction on the wet roadway and crossed into the southbound lane crashing into the Fusion.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelt during the time of the crash.
