SAN ANGELO, TX – Smoke from a raging structure fire north of San Angelo could be seen for miles Tuesday afternoon as firefighters from several volunteer departments converged on the blaze.
Quail Valley VFD trucks were the first on the scene at the intersection of Hwy 208 and Bristow Rd. north of San Angelo.
Scanner reports indicate a structure was completely engulfed when volunteers arrived.

The structure was a total loss according to scanner traffic. Firefighters from Quail Valley, East Concho and Grape Creek battled the fire which set off a grassfire as well.
Tom Green County Commissioners Tuesday morning lifted the burn ban during their regular meeting.
Volunteer firefighters responded to a grass fire on FM -1692 at Switzer Rd. in east Tom Green County.
Firefighters were also dispatched to a reported grassfire along FM-765 also in east Tom Green County.
No word yet on what started the blaze but the structure was reportedly empty and no one was reported injured.
